Director of Laboratory Services
Full Time, Monday - Friday daylight position
o Must have a BA/BS degree, successful competencies of MT course of study.
o Minimum of 6 yrs of progressively responsible positions in a laboratory with a Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP)
o Responsibilities include:
o Planning, organizing and directing all aspects of the laboratory department.
o Being skilled in performing a full range of laboratory tests
o Anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations
o Identifying and resolving problems
o Providing guidance/instruction to staff
o Establishing/maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public
o Must have the ability to:
o Evaluate utilization statistics and other data
o Make program recommendations
o Determine budget needs
o Maintain expenditures within budget
o Communicate Clearly
o Work as a Team Player
o Do both administrative duties and hands on lab duties, working the benchEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
