o Direct and assist patients, visitors and vendors as necessary.
o Know and respond to all alarms and emergency codes
o Monitor Hospital areas to include but limited to External Property, Common Areas, Triage, Registration, Emergency Department and Waiting rooms and Lobbies.
o Foot and vehicle patrols of the campus and satellite operations.
o Enter all significant activities in the Daily Log in great detail.
o Complete Serious Incident Reports as required and pass on information where necessary to other Officers.
o Coordinate security related matters with senior hospital representatives on duty.
o Read Pass-On book and make entries as required.
o Respond to all air ambulance operations as required by Standard Operating Procedures.
o Patient watch and containment
o Assisting clinical staff in the de-escalation of potential violent situations.
o Assisting clinical staff under direction with patient restraint and intervention.
o Monitor CCTV system and take actions as trained and directed.
o Provide escort service for patients, visitors, and staff as requested.
o Writing reports:
observations, patient / staff interactions, investigative, hazardous condition.
o Vehicle and personnel traffic control as requested to promote a safe environment.
o At the end of shift, brief the on-coming security officer.
o Perform all other duties as required by the Hospital Client, Point Security Company and the Site Supervisor.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
